One developer turned Claude Code into a full engineering team and released the whole thing for free. It is called ECC, and it has crossed 250,000 stars on GitHub.

What is in it

63 specialist agents and over 250 skills that plan, build, test, and secure your projects. Not one general assistant trying to do everything, but a set of narrow ones that each do a job properly.

How to install it

  • Open your AI coding app, whether that is Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
  • Add the ECC marketplace with a single command.
  • Install the plugin. Every agent goes live at once.
  • Tell the team what to build and let the agents handle the rest.

That is genuinely the whole setup. It takes a couple of minutes.

What makes it different

Coverage. One agent plans the entire project before anything gets written, which is the step most people skip and then regret. Another writes the code in whatever language you need. And one attacks your own app looking for security issues, then patches what it finds before anyone else gets the chance.

That last one is the piece I would not have thought to ask for and would not want to give up.

Who this is for

If you are already building with AI and hitting the ceiling where the model writes decent code but has no process around it, this is the missing layer. It is less about making the model smarter and more about giving it a workflow.

If you have never opened a coding tool, start somewhere smaller. This assumes you know what a repo is.

The interesting shift is not that AI writes code. It is that the scaffolding around AI writing code is now free, open source, and better than what most teams build internally.
